This policy explains how Markazi Jamia Masjid Abu Bakr Siddiq ("the Mosque", "we", "us") handles information on this website and its Android app, both of which run the same site at https://www.abubakarsiddique.pk.

Visiting the public website

The public pages (prayer times, gallery, construction progress, Islamic events, contact details) can be browsed without creating an account. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers, and we do not use the site to collect personal information from visitors. A session cookie is set for basic site functionality (e.g. CSRF protection); it is not used to track you across other sites.

Administrator accounts

Mosque staff who manage this site sign in through a password- and email-OTP-protected admin panel. For those accounts we store:

Name and email address
A one-time 6-digit verification code, emailed at each login and valid for 10 minutes
Optionally, a "remember this device" cookie valid for 3 days, so the code isn't required on every login from a trusted device
A security log of admin actions (what changed and when), including the IP address, browser, operating system, device type, and an approximate city/region derived from that IP address

The approximate location is looked up via a third-party IP-geolocation service (ip-api.com), which receives only the IP address, not any other personal information. This log exists to help administrators detect unauthorized access to the admin panel and is not shared publicly.

Records administrators keep about the community

To run the Mosque's finances and operations, administrators record information such as donor and collection-handler names, vendor and worker contact details, and committee member profiles (name, designation, phone, email, photo, and biography). This information is entered and managed by authorized staff for record-keeping and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Backups and retention

Database backups are taken periodically to protect against data loss and are accessible only to authorized administrators. Information is retained as long as needed for the Mosque's financial and community record-keeping.

If you are a community member whose information is held in our records (for example, as a donor, vendor, worker, or committee member) and would like to review, correct, or request removal of that information, please contact us using the details below.
